Complaint: Had car towed to Alexander Chevrolet for repairs to daughter’s car. She told the tow truck driver to make sure all the burned wires under the hood were replaced before hooking the car up to diagnostics, as this had happened a few times before. I spoke with the service department and ordered work done as follows: Replace ALL burned wires under the hood, put them in a protective cover to prevent future burning and rewire her two fans. The price quoted for this job was $370.86. Received a call back about 15 minutes later from them saying they had hooked the car up to diagnostics…..? To make a long story short, she picked up her car several days later (after being told she could pick it up that same day). It was running horribly, so she pulled back to the service dept. and told them the car was not fixed. They said, oh, just go drive it, but don’t go too far. She went to the Wal-Mart parking lot, looked under the hood and saw that ONE WIRE had been replaced. Nothing else had been touched. She took the car home and parked it, called me, I called them demanding to know why the work was not done. They said, we were just supposed to get the car STARTED. WHAT??!!?? Those were not the terms or conditions of the repair request and quote. I stopped payment on the check. I called them many, many times trying to get this straightened out.
