I went to buy a prom dress for my daughter on 05/23/09 at the Garden State Plaza. I fond one at the Boubou Collection Inc. store. She had her middle school prom on 06/12/09 where she wore her dress for a couple of hours only, by the time she came home her dress was falling apart. I went back to the store on 06/15/09 to exchange it, since this one was a defected merchandise. We understand there is no money back or exchange, but in this situation we didn’t change our mind, we didn’t want something different we just wanted to have a perfect dress what we paid for not a defected one. The lady at the store wasn’t professional at all. She was a Hispanic lady by the name of Maribel. She didn’t even try to help. She was very aggressive with me. She told me the owner is not here so I have to come back in 2 weeks when the owner is here. Until then nobody can do anything. I asked for the name of the owner and the headquarters’ phone number. She told me she is not allowed to give out any information, she doesn’t even know where is the headquarter. Luckily I was on my phone with my husband and he heard her over the phone. He recommended to me to go the Garden State Plaza security and file a complaint what I did. nI don’t understand how a business can operate in a well-known shopping mall without anybody in charge. Even if the owner is not there they should have a manager who is authorized to take care any kind of problem in the store. I feel they have something to hide, because they don’t give out basic information. They should give out the name and phone number of the owner. nMarianMontville, New JerseyU.S.A.
