Daymond John Launch Academy Grand Rapids Michigan

Complaint: Iu2019m an aspiring Puerto Rican American Entrepreneur who needs your help with retrieving my $28,294.00 from the Daymond John Launch academy. I attended a free seminar on July 19, 2016 that was held on at Crossroads Conference Center 6569 Clay Ave. SW at 3:00pm to gain information about how I can see my version of the American Dream turn into reality. Armed with the years and years of research Iu2019ve done prior on my idea, I decided to look for successful business people and their mentoring programs. Thatu2019s when I came across Daymond John Launch Academy. Still veering from excitement, I knew it was divine intervention and the launch academy was coming here to Michigan and so close to home. After spending a few more nights weighing my options and with the full faith and confidence in myself, I decided I was going to sign up to attend the free seminar. When I attended the seminar that day, the coaches appeared to be very knowledgeable about the company they worked for and what the program guarantees. They also seemed to reiterate the programs refund policy many times. They all reassured the participants that came there that day and made it very clear that there was a 6 month money back guarantee if you are unsatisfied for any reason. With the coaches continued reassurance and easing my hesitation, I stepped out on faith and provided my Visacard for $1997.00 and wrote a check for $26,297.00 totaling $28,294.00 of my hard earned money. After I went to the training/lecture session on July 29-31, the coaches gave information that I either already knew or have researched using Google and YouTube. The only thing that I walked away with that I didnu2019t know how to do was flip credit cards. I felt like I was sold a Ferrari and didnu2019t get Ferrari treatment. ( No lunch was provided, no parking validation, and no coffee was served even though I do not drink that poison!) With my opinion about the academy from that in initial training, I decided to pursue the full refund that I was guaranteed. Iu2019ve reach out to the academy and have spoke with the coaches, operators, and Director of Customer Service @Daymond Johnu2019s Launch Academy in getting my full refund. Needless to say, Iu2019ve been unsuccessful. I was sold a lie and Iu2019m furious with how things are playing out and the Academyu2019s unwillingness to honor my refund request. When I attended the first free training, the coaches made it very clear that there is a 6 month money back guarantee if we are not satisfied for any reason. With the amount of money I paid to the academy, I expected the coaches to be credible, trustworthy, and knowledgeable about their business practices and policies. Iu2019m very upset by this as I do not have that kind of money lying around to throw away. I feel like Iu2019ve been robbed by this company and thus is causing me stress, anxiety, and many sleepless nights. If this is how ABCu2019s Shark Tank personality star Daymond John is running and scamming people out of their hard earned money, he wouldnu2019t be part of the show. Otherwise he may not know this company is using his name, image and likeness to run a scam business. Iu2019ve given many verbal and written requests to receive a full refund from the academy. Although the academy wasted no time cashing my check, they are putting me through hell to get my money back. Please help me get my money back from this company. I called on August 9, 2016 at 3:14 to cancel the payment which they say that you have three days after they cash the check to cancel and the check was cashed on August 8, 2016 even though they stressed that you have 6 months to get your refund! So I am in the the three day as they claim.
