Complaint: My sister-in-law purchased a GM certified used car on 11/18/05 by the time the paper work was done it was almost 8pm. In less then two hours she knew she was ripped off and was going to bring the car back. On 11/19/05 at 10am she went to the dealership with three of her friends to return the car. The dealer JP Chevrolet Told her it was to late, the car is hers. This is less then 16hrs after she bought the car, and she didn’t put any miles on it. This is a GM Certified used car. On the GM web site, under what is GM Certified it list among other things 3-day/150-mile Satifaction Guarantee, If you’re not sure, bring it back. I called GM customer assistance center at 1-800-762-2737, and the fellow who assisted me said it is up to the dealer to honer the GM certified guarantee, and all they can do is put it in there file. That is why GM is having the problems it is, They don’t have the guts to stand up to there own dealers and make them honer there guarantees. GM Certified isn’t worth the paper its written on.
