I called the customer service number for Greenpartstore.com this morning with a question regarding an order I had just received. I needed 4 replacement wheels for my john deere mower deck and received only one. I called customer service to make sure I didnu2019t replicate my mistake and to make certain I was getting the right wheels for my deck as I didnu2019t think the website made it very easy to be certain. I called from my car (which allows for hands free calling) between meetings. As a result, I didnu2019t have access to the order number and hoped my name and telephone number could be used to reference my order. That was mistake #1. Mistake #2 was not knowing precisely the term for the wheels I was trying to order (apparently the little wheels that go on the deck to help level it wasnu2019t clear enough, theyu2019re gage wheels). This is where things went seriously wrong. The rep I spoke with, was condescending and very abrupt in his certainty regarding the fact that I simply needed 3 more wheels like the one I already got. Only after pressing further did I find out that there IS a difference between the back wheels and the front gage wheels. (Good thing I asked, exceptu2026) What ensued from that point on was: Customer serivice rep telling me he was not going to help me unless I gave him an order number and flatly refusing to do anything else to help. This went back and forth for a period of time. Finally I told rep that I wanted to speak with someone else because I found his manner very rude and unhelpful Rep repeatedly telling me he would not let me speak to someone else, then yelling at me. (never had that happen before actually, EVER. In the spirit of full disclosure, however, I do believe I used the technical terms d1ck and jerk in response) Rep reporting to me he needed to cool down (I honestly think he may have been counting to 10) but still refusing to transfer me. John screaming u201cFINE!u201d and then transferring me through to the u2018manageru2019 who seemed about as interested in helping me as my 12 year old son is with his 9 year old sisteru2019s stories. This was THE MOST unprofessional customer service experience I have ever had. To have a customer service rep with access to my personal information literally seething at me over the phone over his level of irritation is really quite something in this day and age (quite unsettling actually). I will never use this company for parts orders again if I can possibly avoid it.
