Complaint: Even though this happened a while back, I would have been right here, telling my story if I knew about this website earlier. My brakes were just doing the normal squeaking when it is time for the pads to be changed; my pedals were not soft or anything. What I thought would be just the normal $99 deal, the manager called me at work, and the first thing he asked was if I was sitting down. Come to find out, the $99 brake job was going to turn in $1,200.00!! He went on to tell me that the last person who did my brakes accidently put power steering fluid in instead of brake fluid! My boyfriend was the last one who worked on the car, and I helped him. I told him this, and he went on to say that someone must have not liked me, because they probably snuck it in, now causing me to have to replace the whole brake line system. I called a friend of mine crying who told me to tell them to get them to put it back together and go to a decent store, but then became worried about what they would actually do to my brakes if I did tell them to just foget it. I ended up having them ‘fix’ my brakes (which have NEVER been the same since!). When I picked up my car, I asked them to show me the parts, they said that there wasn’t really anything noticable except for some white, milky substance in a bottle they brought out that they said came out of my brake lines which was causing them to clog. I will NEVER step foot in a Just Brakes AGAIN, and tell everyone I know about this nightmarish experience. Kristi Irving, TexasU.S.A.
