My boyfriend wanted a mannequin to display some artwork on and I wanted to surprise him with one for Christmas. I was unfamiliar with mannequins so called their office to discuss options such as free standing versus one with a base, plastic versus fiberglass, weight options and heights. I spoke with Richard and we decided on one that would meet my needs. I told him I’d place the order online when we hung up and he said ok, never once mentioning that the one we’d discussed was out of stock and not expected back in till after Christmas. nI waited the allotted time frame but my mannequin didn’t appear, neither did any emails. I called Richard back and he said it was on backorder. He said he didn’t have a list and so never knew what was out of stock.?. He said he would not be able to send me another in it’s place to meet my holiday gift plan, he wouldn’t be able to help me with expedited shipping to get a substitute here before the holiday and that he wasn’t sure why I had not gotten an email informing me of the backorder. I asked for his manager and he said there was only the email address, that he didn’t have a direct line phone number to his own manager, but that the manager’s name was Henry. nI emailed Henry asking if there was some way of sending me an alternate mannequin or if we could work out express shipping to still get it here in time for Christmas. I got a canned reply from Joe saying (again) that I should’ve gotten an email, and if there was anything they could do to let them know.??!!?. I just asked them for what I wanted, for some option on how to get a mannequin, but Joe acted as if I hadn’t said any of it. nI replied to Joe and said I no longer cared about the missing email, that I needed a mannequin and I needed it quick and was willing to pay whatever to make it happen. Again, I got a 2 sentence email from Joe saying, “let us know what we can do to help…”” nAt this point I was livid- I’d already expressed on the phone with Richard and via email with Joe twice what I wanted to happen and I was ignored each time
so I just wanted to cancel the whole order and have my money refunded. nThen Joe emails me again asking for their own invoice number so he could cancel the order. All of my emails were threaded
so their invoice number was in the thread
but they didn’t even bother to read them
and weren’t even going to bother to look up my order on their end
