Complaint: While on my way out of the mall I had tried to avoid confrontation from a Plan associate that was trying to talk to people. However they were so persistant that they actually walked a good 15 metres away from their station to talk to me. I was in quite a rush as my wife was very ill and I had told the associate that I can’t stay to talk as I was bringing my wife some medicine that she desperately needed. The associate mearly brushed it off and went about her presentation, as if I didnt have bags full of tissues and strong medicine. I was desperate to get out of there as soon as possible, but I am a very timid and introverted person and couldn’t muster up the courage to interrupt the person or just leave. I did keep pointing out the fact that my wife was very ill but the associate kept brushing it off, time and again. So I decided to play along and try to hurry the associate up, but I think that only made the associate take longer. About 10-15 minutes later, we finally got to the sign up part. I played along, signed up, and the associate said that no money would be taken out of my account until someone had called me, which I figured ok, I’ll just tell them that I don’t want to donate and that’ll be it. After about a week, I noticed that money had been taken out of my account without first getting a call. So I called the head office, and after explaining what had happened and that I did not authorize the transaction, the person said that they have to submit an application for a refund for this instance and that I need to give him reasons to help support my refund application. This seemed very unusual. I had called in the morning and they said that I would be contacted that evening by the supervisor about my “application.”” They had not contacted me for a few days so I decided to call again. The person I got then gave me the same lines and said that they had submitted a ticket too to their supervisor
