The description listed for the table is as follows (excerpts): lovely Solid Oak Anitque Harvest Table some refer to as a Trestle or Farm Table. It is a heavy, sturdy piece of furniture. It originally came from a family estate. It is solid oak. We emailed her and asked a few more questions and she told us the table was from Manchester England. When we got there we should have picked up on the fact that the table was a bit light, but we were in a hurry as we had to meet my parents soon thereafter. When we got home we noticed the table was plywood on the bottom and was stamped ‘1975’ — not exactly an antique. Then we discovered the table was veneer over particle board. I emailed Anita to alert her to these facts, but of course I got no response — I also let her know that I was going to file a report. I feel that she is misrepresenting her furniture and that she is well aware that she is not selling antiques.
