Company website mislead me into believing that a transaction I made online on their website went through after entering my gift card number and credit card number. I got a confirmation message after I completed the online transaction. Because of that I threw out the gift card. Unfortunately, I found out today from their customer service that the gift cards are not accepted as payment online. Well, I was mislead to believe that my transaction went through and there was no credit left on the gift card. Wrong! I was tricked into tossing out about $200 on the gift card. And there is nothing they can do about it because they do not have any record of the transaction. This is purely sinful. Tsk, tsk William Sonoma. You get to pocket the remaining balance of the gift card that was supposed to be part of my wedding gift.
